Low calorie is good but for that extra punch I would suggest a high protein/low glycemic (good, whole-grain carbs) diet. Here are a few food suggestions: tuna (no mayo), grilled chicken, 93 % lean red meat, whole-grains (Kashi cereal, whole grain pasta), low carb yogurt, skim milk, almonds (small portions)...
The idea w/ this diet is to sustain that "full" feeling where with low glycemic and high protein foods, your body takes longer to digest and break down the foods so it stays with you longer unlike high glycemic foods such as fried foods and over processed stuff.
Good luck
References :
*tuna with fat free mayo or miracle whip
*use light bread instead of regular - you get 2 for 1 calorie-wise
*fruit is healthy and low fat
*if you eat meat, make sure it's extra lean
*frozen yogurt instead of ice cream
*stir fry is pretty low cal - lots of veggies
*experiement with seasonings to make things taste better
*salads with low cal dressing or no dressing
GOOD LUCK!!!!!
References :
There are free recipees on weight watchers.com.

Chicken and fish are the best meats. I try to remember to eat things as close to the way God made them as possible. Fresh fruit, vegetables, meat etc. When we eat pasta we go for the whole wheat barilla pasta. Make sure your breads have at least 3 grams of fiber in them. They'll keep you fuller and help you to lose weight.
References :
My new favorite lunch is a whole wheat toasted bagel. When it comes out of the toaster put a slice of muenster cheese between it ASAP, then cut up cucumbers, tomatoes, and green peppers and wa-la! a veggie bagel. I also suggest drinking lots of water, and if you aren't a huge water fan, or want a sweet drink, add a Crystal Light packet to your bottle of water.
References :
Popcorn that isn't super buttery.
Actually taco bell is pretty healthy for fast food, and since fast food is pretty unavoidable... Ask for fresco style, the just take away the cheese and add salsa-y stuff.
Fish is really good protein. Steamed cauliflower with cheddar cheese melted on top is good.
Obviously fruit and vegetables.
Popsicles are good for a sugar treat, and gum stops you from snacking a lot, because its a pain to spit it out.
References :
Any kind of food a vegan can eat is the best way to think of it
so fruits and veggies
but for low calorie you going to want to watch your bread intake big time...
