SasukeLoverErin as someone who has contemplated suicide myself I can understand were you are coming from. But it sounds like you have people who care about you and are trying to get you to rethink what you are doing. I myself was alone in my battle. I would have welcomed people telling me that is not the way, you don’t have to do that.

Have you thought that maybe they aren’t being selfish they do care about you? What you put comes offr a bit selfish to me. It says that you don’t care what impact your leaving would put on your parents, loved ones and friends. It would tear them apart wondering everyday if they could have done something to help you.

Again I would have given anything to have someone reach out to me and it didn’t matter who. But you notice I’m still here today. I was a cutter but an argument with my mother pulled me to that edge to go through with it, make it final. It was actually a song that came on the radio(by the Backstreet Boys as a matter of fact) that got me to stop and think.

It made me realize that that is not the way. That no matter what I thought she cares about me. It got me to think about my little brothers and what that would put my parents through. They have already lost a child, at a young age at that. I realized it would tear them up. There are other things you can do.

I use poetry and songwritting to help me. Granted I was the most depressed during my school days but I have been writting since. It’s good therapy to get it down on paper if you don’t want someone to know. I even talked to a school counsler about it.

Yes, please talk to someone, a nurse or counselor would work, Talking things through can help, and you may even need medication for depression. People DO get chemical imbalances in the brain sometimes and medication can help if this is so. PLEASE talk to someone!

PLEASE, if you feel suicidal, PLEASE talk to someone. A teacher, counselor, minister, trusted family member, etc. The bad feelings you have WON’T last forever (though the devil “on your shoulder” whispers and lies that this is permanent and there’s nothing to live for.) Don’t listen to stupid people who say “I hope you do” etc. There are things and people to live for. Your life can have meaning and significance. PLEASE talk to someone! Love and God bless…
