Low fat foods always help if you are trying to lose weight. Look for healthy ways to burn fat:

Stop eating junk (duh). Food items such as fried chips, cookies, ice cream, chocolates, frozen fish sticks, etc. should not even get into the kitchen. Like the Subway commercials say, “eat fresh”! Choose fish, green vegetables and sprouts. As much as possible, choose raw food. Green leafy vegetables are good for you and are chock-full of vitamins. Plus, live enzymes are intact when greens are not cooked.

Fish such as cod, tuna, sardine and mackerel are good for your health. They regulate leptin, a hormone in your body. This in turn improves the metabolism, thus burning calories. They also contain omega 3 fatty acids,;good for your brain. This regulates your body fat and helps you do your best.

Lean chicken and turkey: skinless chicken is a great choice. It provides protein. Be sure to prepare it lean as well; any thing that is fried will add up more calories.

Spinach is an anti-oxidant and helps regulate your weight. It increases your metabolic rate and burns calories; this way you can regulate your weight. Eat plenty of this and salads with cucumber, beet root and carrots. They help you increase your metabolic rate.

Almonds tend to have a lot of monosaturated fat; that is great for you, and in fact, this is an excellent source of fat for your body. The bad type of fat for your body – the type of fat that you need to watch out for – is saturated fat. Almonds are not on that list.
